We’re heading back to Northstar Village for the Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival to participate in the Grand Tasting & Culinary Competition on Sunday September 11, 2016. This year, we’re pairing with a 2012 Albatross Ridge Pinot Noir ‘Cuvée Vivienne’ from Albatross Ridge Vineyards of Carmel Valley, CA. We’re still deciding on the final details of the menu and will have it finalized as early as late next week. Here’s a hint, it won’t be our chocolates entered into the competition this year. Reason being, too many people waited until after the voting closed to try our chocolate and wine pairing for a dessert. We’re going to remedy this situation with a smoked meat entry. Could be pork belly, beef chuck short ribs, brisket or a pulled pork. We’ll decide which menu item to enter after we the pairings and decide which is the best.
